Pricer for DOS has been around for over fifteen years. Pricer for Windows has all of the features that have made Pricer for DOS a success, plus new additional capabilities.

PRICER for Windows features:

· Flexibility A bid is made of components. A component can be anything, a ‘Tee,’ ‘One Labor Hour,’ ‘One truck mile,’ etc. A component is an inventory item or assembly. You may have as many different inventory items or assemblies as required. An assembly is a group of inventory items. For Instances an Alarm Valve Assembly could include an ‘Alarm Valve,’ ‘Flow Switch,’ ‘O.S.&Y. Valve,’ etc. Each inventory item and assembly is assigned a classification. Think of a classification as a category. Classifications allow you to sort and filter your inventory and assembly lists. Classifications make selection and maintenance faster and easier. You may configure PRICER according to style of bidding. PRICER is extremely flexible. The more you use PRICER the more it becomes accustomed to your style of bidding.

· Job Costing - - lets you know which jobs and/or components you are making or losing money on. For each component, you can enter the actual cost and the actual amount of labor. Perhaps you are pricing some components too high and are losing bids. Maybe you are pricing some components too low and are losing money. Do you know which components/projects are making money or which components/projects are losing money? You may job cost during the job or at completion. Pricer let you tailor job costing to match your companies procedures.

· Analyzing - You can analyze all of your previous bids by client, by occupancy or by building type. The report will show the cost per head, material per head, labor per head, cost per square foot, material per square foot, labor per square foot, the average cost per head and the average cost per square foot. You could use this information for creating a quick ‘Ball Park’ bid or use it to compare one type of project against another. Maybe a client will call and ask you "How much money should I put in my bid for you per square foot." You could look at this window and have a very close approximation of your cost. There are over twenty-four different evaluations. The allows you to spot instantly a bid that is out of range. A picture is worth a thousand words.

· Style - You do not have to change your style of bidding to use PRICER. No two people think the same or bid the same. We designed PRICER to adapt to your particular style of bidding. You can setup PRICER anyway that you like. You can have the inventory list an ‘Ell 1’ or ‘1 Ell.’ You can pick off all of the ‘Ells,’ ‘Tees,’ etc. or you can use a per head approach. For instances, if you are use to putting labor as a separate line item, that is fine; if you are use to putting labor on each component, that is fine. The choice is up to you. You can even use a combination of styles.

· Speed PRICER, will allow you to bid more projects. If you are using a spread sheet or price book to look up prices, PRICER will save you valuable time that you could use to bid more projects. PRICER, conveniently stores all of your items in a scrolling pick-list. You can filter the pick-list to instantly view only a particular classification of components. As an example, Groove Fittings or Valves etc. PRICER, also has a ‘soft seek’ to instantly take you to a particular component. Once you set up the components to meet your particular needs, they will be very easy to use. Using a price book is fine, if you do not mind wasting time thumbing through the pages. A spreadsheet is fine, if you do not mind losing time scrolling through the endless amount of screens and printouts. What if, you accidentally cause a formula error? PRICER eliminates all of this lost time and eliminates formula errors.

· Ease of use Since PRICER uses the Windows interface, everything is extremely easy to use. You simply use your mouse to select items. We are independent sprinkler designers. If the need should arise that you require technical support, you can be confident that we speak your language. Complete context sensitive help is available. Your learning curve is almost nonexistence.

· Global Change - PRICER allows you to define as many different groups as you may require. Groups are used for global price changing. Let us say you have created a group of chrome sprinklers from ‘ABC Company.’ ‘ABC Company’ raised their price on all chrome sprinklers by 10%. You could then go to that group and change the multiplier to 1.10. Every component within that group would then be calculated at a 10% price increase. This eliminates the time required to change the price for all chrome sprinklers from ‘ABC Company.’ You could also use groups for example, to figure 20% extra fittings on a messy existing building, etc.

· Note Tracking - PRICER has complete note tracking capabilities. The notes are listed chronologically. This feature allows you to track changes to your bid. Let us say for instances, the general contractor tells you to eliminate the underground from your bid. With PRICER you can associate the date of the change with the bid for instant reference, should the need arise.

· Wizards - Wizards provide almost instantaneous pricing of a project. You provide the Grid Wizard with information on the water supply and your system information. The Grid Wizard will calculate the approximate pipe size of the mains and lines. After you have confirmed the pipe size, you push one button and have a complete estimate created for you. You may add additional wizard generations into the same bid. There is a Grid Wizard, Tree Wizard and Line Wizard. The Tree Wizard will also calculate side feed systems. The Line Wizard will create an instant assembly of a branch line, complete with swing joints or goosenecks, etc. There is a pump and riser wizard to help you select the correct assembly.

· Bid History - All bids and price histories are retained in Pricer until they are deleted. When you open an old bid, each price is color coded to tell you immediately if the price is current. Each component and assembly may be updated individually by clicking them. Pushing one button will update the entire bid. Let us say for example, a client calls you and asks if your price is still good from last June. In Pricer, all you do is pick the bid and push the update button. You will then have a current price. How long would this take you by your current method?

· Consolidate PRICER allows you to group all your eggs in one basket. Lets say you are bidding a high rise building. Pricer will let you make a separate bid for each floor. You can then consolidate all of the separate floor bids into one work sheet.

· Obsolete Prices - There is an alarm to warn you when the prices in your inventory list are becoming old or obsolete. Each inventory item has the date of the last price change. PRICER automatically maintains the date. This ensures the prices you are bidding, are the correct prices.

· Instant Letters PRICER allows you to enter as many letters as you desire. To send a letter to a client you simply pick the client and the letter, from pick-lists. The entire letter including your address and the client’s address is automatically completed. You may use this facility to ask for an extension to a bid, to ask for an extra, or to ask for clarifications etc. The letters are in RTF similar to a word processor. You can add bold color etc. What could be simpler?

· Summarizing (Recapping) - Summarize your bid into as few or as many items as you desire. The recapping feature makes it quick and easy to have an overall picture of your bid. The graph makes it clear which items causing the greatest impact on your bid.

· Exporting and Importing - PRICER supports the standard CSV file format. Bring vendor price lists directly into Pricer. Export PRICER'S information to be shared by a colleague or for use in an inventory or accounting program.

· Miscellaneous There are many miscellaneous features; pop up calculator, pop up calendars, user definable fields, etc.

· User Interface The user interface is very sophisticated but yet extremely easy to use. There is nothing else available for fire protection estimating with such a powerful user interface.

No other fire protection bidding software, is even in the same class as PRICER.
